Great Performing Product at a Resonable Price, March 16, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: GTD Audio G-787H UHF Diversity Wireless Microphone System I was a bit skeptical buying this with no reviews. However, I saw great reviews of the two channel unit and thought this one might be good as well. It appears this was a good assumption.
When I received the unit, I was impressed by the packaging. A hard-shell case, would have been nice, but the cardboard with foam cutouts is serviceable. The receiver is metal, well built, and mostly self-explanatory to use. The mics are surprisingly heavy and well-constructed. Each mic has an on/mute/off and select switches that are recessed to avoid inadvertent pressing. They also have removable heads with a 0/-10db switch on the body.
The setup was surprisingly simple: a button press on the receiver, removing the battery cover on the mic to expose the IR port, and another press of a button on the receiver. They sync frequencies automatically via IR.

Of course they aren't equal to high-end Shure, Sennheiser, etc. systems, but they sound very good and are a fraction of the cost. I purchased this system for a male choral group to supplement our wired mics in situations that call for "cutting the cable." So far they have performed very well for us. I recently recorded our spring concert using these for a smaller group of 16 men and for a string bass and a guitar all with very good results.
One reviewer said the mics may be too sensitive for some situations. The instruction manual shows you how to flip a switch in the microphone to reduce the sensitivity by 10 dB. It is quite simple and perfect for such situations. So far I have not needed the feature, but it is nice to know it's there. I actually have found these mics to be a little less sensitive than our wired condenser mics.

These wireless mics are another wonderful product from GTD.
The first place that I used these mics, was at a middle school talent show. I was glad that I really didn't have to worry about the mics getting damaged because they were built so well, and they only cost $35 to replace. I used these mics with a Nady octavo system, and these sounded way better. (They also had a better range with no hisses or pops.)Before I used them, I popped on some windscreens, just in case.
